Chat Room Access and Information
Once again this year we are making use of the IRC chatroom generously provided and maintained by Utoxin for NaNoWriMo.
This room does require a login and you can register here: http://chatnano.net/IrcUsers/login.

This is a flash based chat. If your device does not have flash you can access through any IRC Client by connecting to the irc.Kydance.net server using port 6667 and join the #Wrimosaurs room.
Chat Room Rules
Just a few things to remember in our Chatroom:

Please use the same name (or something similar to) your forum name. That way we all know who is who!

Please do not SHOUT constantly! (usage of all caps for everything. A word here and there is no biggie, but reading writing that is in all caps is annoying!)

Finally, please remember that technically this is an all ages chatroom. Act accordingly.
IRC Commands
Basic Commands
/join {#channel}
Makes you join the specified channel.
/me {action text}
Sends the specifed action to the active channel or query window. Also see /describe and /ctcp action.
/msg {nickname} {message}
Send a private message to this user without opening a query window.
/nick {new nickname}
Changes your nickname to whatever you like (but we would prefer if you use the same name you use in the forums!)
/quit [reason]
Disconnect you from IRC with the optional byebye message.
About Timmy
Timmy is a bot - an artificial program created by Utoxin. Bots like Timmy can be programmed to do many different things. Including spouting nonesense at random times!
There are some really useful things that you can use Timmy for when it comes to writing your novel. Here are a few of my favourites:
!startwar <duration> [<start delay> [<war name>]]
Starts a war with the given duration, after start delay. Example: !startwar 15 5 - this starts a 15 minute long word war in 5 minutes.
!eggtimer <minutes>
Starts a timer. Great if you want to only write for X many minutes Example: !eggtimer 5 - this will cause the timer to off in 5 minutes
!boxodoom <duration> <easy|medium|hard|insane>
This starts a personal word count challenge for the amount of minutes specified. Try to reach the number of words that Timmy has told you to try for!
!pickone comma, separated list
Timmy will choose one of the items on this list at random. Example: !pickone bomb explodes, bomb is a fake, bomb is disarmed - Timmy will give you only one answer. You can have as many items on your list as you want. Just be sure each item is separated by a comma!
!challenge
Simply type this in and Timmy will come up with a random challenge for you to try to put in your story.
